Welcome to DrStorage ("we", "our", or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect,
use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services
(collectively, the "Service"). Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please
discontinue use of the Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: When you register or sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google.
- Files & Content: Files you upload to our Service (images, videos, documents, etc.) are stored in Firebase Cloud Storage under your account.
- Support Communications: If you contact us for support, we may collect your name, email, and message content.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: File upload/download activity, storage usage, feature interactions, and app session data.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
- Log Data: IP address, app crash reports, and diagnostic data for service improvement.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
- Google Sign-In: User ID, email, display name, and profile picture via Google OAuth.
- Google AdMob: For free-tier users, AdMob may collect advertising identifiers to serve relevant ads.
- RevenueCat / Google Play Billing: Purchase receipts and subscription status for premium plan verification.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the DrStorage Service
- Authenticate your identity and manage your account
- Store and sync your files securely via Firebase Cloud Storage
- Track and enforce storage limits based on your subscription plan
- Send you service-related notifications (e.g., storage limit warnings)
- Display advertisements to free-tier users via Google AdMob
- Process premium subscription purchases and verify billing
- Improve app performance, fix bugs, and develop new features
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Data Storage & Security
Your files are stored in Google Firebase Cloud Storage, protected by Google's enterprise-grade security infrastructure. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest.
- Files are stored in isolated user directories (
users/{uid}/files/) accessible only to you.
- Firestore security rules enforce strict owner-only access on all user documents and files.
- We do not sell, trade, or rent your files or personal data to third parties.
- App Lock (PIN / biometric) is available as an additional local security layer.
- We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, we will remove your files and personal data within 30 days.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in these cases:
- Service Providers: Google Firebase, Google AdMob, RevenueCat — used solely to operate our Service.
- File Sharing Feature: When you create a public share link, the linked file becomes accessible to anyone with the link. You control this and can revoke access at any time.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or government authority.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred to the successor entity.

6. Advertising (Free Users)
Free-tier users will see banner and interstitial advertisements delivered by Google AdMob.
AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier (GAID on Android) to serve personalized ads.
You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings under
Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.
Premium subscribers do not see any advertisements.
7. Children's Privacy
DrStorage is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal
information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with
personal information, we will take steps to delete such information. If you believe your child has
provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
8. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Update your profile information within the app (Personal Info screen).
- Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us.
- Data Portability: Request your data in a portable format.
- Opt-Out of Ads: Adjust personalized ad settings on your device.
- Revoke Sharing: Deactivate or delete any shared links you have created.

9. Data Retention
- Active account data is retained as long as your account exists.
- Deleted files are marked as deleted but may be retained for up to 30 days for recovery purposes before permanent deletion.
- Upon account deletion, all personal data and files will be permanently removed within 30 days.
10. International Data Transfers
Your data is stored and processed on Google's global infrastructure, which may involve transferring data
across international borders. Google complies with applicable data transfer regulations including
Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for EU/EEA users.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date
at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you via in-app notification or email.
Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
